The Challenge
Bainco International Investors, a Boston asset manager and wealth planning firm with $1.1 billion in assets under management, needed a website redesign. The site had to integrate with WordPress so the client’s team could make changes themselves, including publishing periodic blog posts, without relying on me for every update.
The Approach
I used Adobe XD to create the visual layout, UI, and UX, and our in-house developer executed the code to make it happen. The goal was to make the website work within WordPress so that Bainco could manage its own content. To make sure the team could use it, I also produced a short CMS walkthrough video showing how to update the site through WordPress.
The Result
The redesigned site launched, and Bainco was subsequently acquired by RIA consolidator Cerity Partners, which grew Cerity’s AUM to $28 billion by the end of 2020. Because of the acquisition, the site is no longer live, but you can view the prototype here.
