Zines are short for "magazines," but are essentially DIY publications. I love making them because there are no rules! Here are some of my zines. Flip through the gallery to read detailed descriptions.
"What's Coming" is a Palahniukian short horror story about family, betrayal, and retail hell. Illustrated by Sarah Gilstrap. Story, cover design, and layout by me. Email me to purchase.
A collection of favorites from my 100 Day Project in which I attempted to make 100 watercolor patterns in 100 days. I made it to 40 with this ambitious project, and compiled my favorite patterns into this zine! Email me to purchase.
"SFV in 35mm: Film Photographs Taken in the San Fernando Valley" contains a selection of images from my archive of chrome and negative film photos. Images from mundane errands and outings are arranged alongside memories of hikes beyond Chatsworth Park, live music performances, nature walks, and a part-time gig as a cashier at a porn shop. Mature content. Some images not appropriate for kids. 20 color pages. 8.5" x 5.5".
"Growing Up Valley: A Collection of Poetry, Flash Fiction & Sketches" is a publication a long time in the making. Some of these words and sketches have been sitting dormant in notebooks for more than a decade, but the zine community inspired their rebirth. Get ready for nostalgic San Fernando Valley vibes. Mature content. Not appropriate for kids 13 and under. 16 black and white pages. 8.5" x 5.5".
